Target
Target for next year will be to try and finish off some older games so I am at a minimum of half my total games done. At the moment 10 more retail games would put me to half way so I am not too far off. Its just motivating myself to get it done. Having a choice of over 100 games at home I find I just look at them all and can't pick out anything I want to play. I feel I play some for hours and barely get anywhere. Seem to just lose concentration and wonder about sometimes. Others I distract myself with the internet for 5-10 minutes here and there which all adds up to huge distractions.
Looking over other blogs, I can see I just don't have the literacy skills to write the big interesting posts. Would like to put more effort in to it really as it would be nice to get more posts in here that are worth reading, even if it just for me to read.

Highs and Lows of point whoring
I just finished the GSL on x360a.org and went through a very low point in scoring. I was excited for it to start. I had 17 games lined up to playthrough and thought I could easily put up 30000 points. The realisation set in a few weeks into it, how much harder that is to do. I thought it would be a breeze since I love gaining gamerscore, but the glitches I hit in many of the games due to them being cheaply made really drained the fun out of them. At a lot of stages I couldn't even bring myself to keep playing anything. I kept trying, but the enjoyment was not there.
I have gone back to some bigger budget games now and am having a much better time. The tag line on easy scoring games should be "Fun in small doses".
New CoD is out next week and I really can't wait for it. The new online modes look really interesting. Will be nice to wager my cash for my skill. I generally do well online with it, so will be interesting to see how it goes when I have something on the line.

Completion
As much as I have not put effort in to post I thought of one I could.
I noticed that I have almost completed 20 retail games this year. Last year I did 20 and year prior 14. This would suggest I have completed more this year as it is not nearly done yet. It is pleasing to see this as it has been one of my goals to push for this year. This has also reflected in my gamerscore as I have gained around 30000 this year which is usually my average over a whole year.
Lovefilm has been one of the biggest reason for all my completions as I have been getting a lot more games including a lot of easy ones. They have been good fun for the few hours they last.
Proudest completion this year is probably prototype as it requires a lot of practice to get through.

My writing of this blog has lost its appeal
As no one is following this Im guessing I am writing to myself. I kind of lost motivation to keep going with this. I started a few posts, but they got abandoned quickly. Might get back to this at some point

Update
Have really been lacking motivation to post, but have some time now. Started to fall behind on games I wanted to complete with all the new games I got. Oblivion has been sitting at 660 for a while now. Really want to push myself to finish that off.
Managed to finish some easy games recently that I got over Christmas. I did enjoy Open Season, Kung Fu Panda and Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper even though they were short. The Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince game was not as good as the first one and had a lot of stuff cut out from it. It felt like they cut out some content to make it an easier full gamerscore game than the last one.
Really enjoying Tropico 3 at the moment. Best RTS game I have come across. It is not too difficult and there is not a lot of different things to remember, but it does have enough of a challenge to keep it entertaining. Hope to finish that off soon, but will probably still keep playing it.
The Saboteur is another game I got a lot out of, but am now at the point where most of the achievements are destroy lots of things which gets very repetitive unfortunately. It is still a fun game, but I can only play it in small doses due to the lack of variation.

Christmas time
Well now that Christmas is coming around I have got a lot more games. As I will be away from home over Christmas I am getting some presents early as I am not taking my xbox with me. So far I have 10 new games and more to come. Have not tried them all yet though.
Managed to finish Assassin's Creed 2. Overall it was very fun. Side quests did drag on a little though as it seemed to just be piles of assassination quests with little variation so I ended up skipping them nearer the end. I also complete Wall*E which is obviously not too hard to do, but it was pretty fun. I had to buy it after watching the film recently as it was great.
We were celebrating my flat mates birthdays over the weekend and decided that Rock Band would be a good idea. I realised at this point how much of a pain it is. Digging out all the instruments, building the durm kit up, plugging into the back USB port of the xbox and we ended up playing it for less than an hour when people got bored. Overall a bit too much hassle
